About Tongits
Tongits is a classic Filipino card game that combines strategy, skill, and a bit of luck. Traditionally played during Filipino celebrations and social gatherings, this game has become a cultural phenomenon across the Philippines. The objective is to form sets and runs from your cards while minimizing the points in your hand.
At SLVIP, we've brought this traditional game to the digital age while preserving its authentic gameplay. Whether you're a seasoned Tongits player or new to the game, our platform offers an immersive experience with smooth gameplay, clear graphics, and intuitive controls that capture the essence of this beloved Filipino pastime.
The game typically accommodates 3-4 players, with each player receiving 13 cards. Players take turns drawing and discarding cards, trying to form valid combinations (sets of three or four cards of the same rank, or runs of three or more consecutive cards of the same suit). Strategic thinking and careful observation of opponents' moves are key to mastering this game.

How to Play Tongits
Each player receives 13 cards from a standard 52-card deck. The remaining cards form the draw pile, and space is designated for discard cards. Organize your hand to identify potential sets and runs.
Create valid sets (three or four cards of the same rank, like 7-7-7) or runs (three or more consecutive cards of the same suit, like 4-5-6 of hearts). Keep these combinations in your hand or lay them down when valid.
On your turn, either draw the top card from the deck or pick up the last discarded card. Then discard one card from your hand to the discard pile. This continues until someone calls Tongits or the deck runs out.
When you believe your remaining unmelded cards have the lowest point total, call "Tongits!" to end the round. Other players can challenge this call if they think they have a lower score.
Points are calculated based on remaining cards: face cards (J, Q, K) = 10 points, Aces = 1 point, numbered cards = face value. The player with the lowest score wins the round and collects points from opponents.
If your hand has high points and limited winning potential, you may choose to surrender (fold) before calling Tongits. This minimizes your loss but means you automatically lose the round.
